MANAMA: VIVA Bahrain is bringing to the Kingdom one of the world’s most renowned goalkeepers, Peter Schmeichel, to celebrate the launch of the fourth season of its community development program, Manchester United Soccer Schools (MUSS).
The launch event will be held this Wednesday, April 9th, at 5.30 pm in Bahrain City Centre where fans will have an exclusive opportunity to meet the legend and get his autograph.
Fans can visit the VIVA Manchester United Zone in the center hall of Bahrain City Centre to get their personal autograph signed by the legend.
In 1992 Peter Schmeichel was voted the “World’s Best Goalkeeper” with an unbeatable goalkeeping record. Schmeichel provided a solid foundation for the Man Utd team during his eight seasons at Old Trafford. He played 229 times for Manchester United during his 8-year career and played 129 times for the Denmark national team between 1987 and 2001.
Peter Schmeichel will be unveiling the 4th edition of VIVA’s MUSS programme which this year will see talented young boys and girls aged 13-15 who are passionate about football showcasing their football skills and love for the sport. The visit is set to happen during a significant time in Bahrain’s sporting calendar and is aimed at further strengthening Bahrain’s profile as a major host of sporting activities by raising its international profile.
