MANAMA: The Global Symposium for Regulators 2014 (GSR-2014) will open in Bahrain on June 3rd.
The three-day summit will be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa
Minister of State for Telecommunications Affairs Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa received steering committee member Taiba Mohammed Al-Binali and reviewed ongoing preparations, programme and Bahraini delegation’s contribution to the (GSR-2014) summit.
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is organising the summit under the theme “Capitalizing on the potential of the digital world”. In a statement, the Minister hailed the summit as a new global achievement which acknowledges Bahrain’s regional and international standing. He commended the pivotal role of the Telecommunications Regulator Authority (TRA) in coordinating the global summit with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
