MANAMA: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Charity Organization, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, has expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the King on the remarkable humanitarian role of His Majesty in supporting the needy and care for orphans and widows in the Kingdom of Bahrain and in providing assistance and help to the people of sisterly and friendly countries.
Shaikh Nasser pledged His Majesty to continue to work with all efforts and dedication to implement the Royal directives of His Majesty on charities and excellent care for all categories of the needy in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He prayed to Allah Almighty to reward His Majesty the best reward for His Majesty’s generous deeds to his loyal people and the needy worldwide.
Shaikh Nasser expressed these views during a ceremony organized by the wide-spread Forbes Middle East magazine, which was attended by a large number of dignitaries and business people. The event was held in honour of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa for his humanitarian efforts and charitable work through the Royal Charity Organization. Emphasis of the great positive impact of such work of charity on beneficiaries, including orphans, widows and the needy in the Kingdom of Bahrain was highlighted, as well as relief work to brotherly and friendly peoples. “His Highness has played a great role in the implementation of several humanitarian, relief and development projects for the benefit of such peoples”, Shaikh Nasser said.
“His Majesty the King has taught us the meaning of charitable and humanitarian work through His Majesty’s major deeds at various levels. His Majesty extends help to the needy and victims throughout the world. His Majesty’s humanitarian initiatives are ongoing, and this reflects His Majesty’s keenness in providing aid and assistance for all.”
Shaikh Nasser also praised the role of the Government under the Leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa the Prime Minister and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince, in this benevolent activity.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser also valued the support of the people of Bahrain and emphasized the assistance of the needy and relief to victims. “This is part of our Islamic Sharia and norm of practice by Arab people. We are brought up on such values, and therefore they are instilled in the minds and hearts of the people of Bahrain”, Shaikh Nasser said.
His Highness commended the efforts of Forbes Middle East Magazine and their caring for recognizing pioneers who have proved their ability and success in various sectors and are selected in accordance with clear standards and criteria.
Shaikh Nasser said that this event is a good initiative in favour of charity work and is part of communal partnership. He highly appreciated this initiative and dedicated efforts in furthering charity work and in creating a spirit of competitiveness for more activity and endeavours in favour of the needy and victims worldwide.
During the ceremony, His Highness Shaikh Nasser honoured His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the First Deputy of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and Chairman of the Athlete Federation of Bahrain. His Highness Shaikh Nasser also honoured a group of Bahraini dignitaries, including Khalid Kanoo, Dr. Essam Fakhro, the late Abdullah Nass, and Dr. Bahia Al-Jishi, for their national communal and entrepreneurial roles.
