MANAMA: The General Director of Central Governorate Police announced that a blast was heard on Friday morning in Sitra Wadyan resulting in fatal injuries to one person.
The Police responded to the scene and found people moving an injured individual. An initial examination of the area revealed bloodstains on the ground, damage to a civilian car and to the wall of a house.
The General Director added that the main operation room received a call from the Salmaniya Medical Complex reporting the arrival of seriously injured person who later died.
An investigation was launched in which it was learned that the deceased person had been sentenced in absentia for rioting and vandalism.
The Public Prosecution was notified. Anyone with any information is asked to call the police hotline at 80008008. All calls are treated as anonymous.
