MANAMA: Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro inspected Carrefour Supermarket at the Bahrain City Center in order to check on the availability of required quantities of food and market movement, especially with the approach of holy month of Ramadan.
The visit was part of the Minister’s continuous field visits to supermarkets and retail shops in the country and during his visit to Carrefour, Abdulla Al Bader briefed the Minister on promotions carries out by the market recently in addition to the plans that the market intend to do it during Ramadan which includes many food and consumers goods.
The Minister praised the steps taken by the markets in the Kingdom of Bahrain and their cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in order to ease the burden on consumers, stressing the importance of consumer awareness of cons storage for all of the food which may cause confusion in the process of supply and demand and hurt the consumer himself.
