MANAMA: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa paid a visit to the BDF General Command headquarters where he was welcomed on arrival by State Minister for Defence Affairs Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, BDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa and senior officers.
HM the King paid tribute to the BDF staff for their dedicated and patriotic work, asserting that they are a source of pride for their keenness to fulfill their national duty.
HM said that BDF will remain the bulwark protecting the nation’s safety and unity as well as people’s security and civilisational gains.
HM added that nations prosper thanks to the competence of their professional armed forces, lauding the key role played by BDF in protecting the nation, contributing to its development march and providing outstanding services for citizens.
HM the King took pride in the advanced level and combat readiness of BDF units, asking the senior officers to convey his greetings to all BDF personnel.
