MANAMA: Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro confirmed the importance of initiatives and ambitious steps of national investment companies, and their role in enhancing Kingdom’s economic reality, referring to the government’s support or all the steps to preserve Kingdom’s reputation.
This came during a visit to Gulf Plastic Industries at the Bahrain International Investment Park, where he was greeted by General Manager Mr. Waheed Soliman and Advisor Mandouh Ahmed Ali.
During minister presence in the factory with an investment worth BD2.3million and percentage of sales is BD9 million as confirmed by Waheed Soliman.
Then he detailed the minister on manufacturing steps and stages and raw material sources which represent in Japan and China and other countries. He also pointed to the most important products made by the factory, such as plastic pipes and accessories confirming that the factory’s orientation to develop its products and expand its base to be able to meet the growing demand for these products and expand export process, which is currently represent in Saudi Arabia, which accommodate about 56% of production, and Qatar 13%, and the rest of the ratio to other countries such as Yemen, Jordan and Tunisia and in the future to Far Eastern countries such as China and Malaysia. He also stressed factory’s orientation to double production in the next period.
Waheed Soliman thanks and appreciates the government and the Ministry for their support and facilities granted to factories in Bahrain.
