MANAMA: The Cabinet on Sunday discussed the Memorandum presented by the Minister of Industry and Commerce on the approval of the amendments made to the Statute of the Standardization Organization (GSO) of the GCC countries.
The Official Government Spokesperson and State Minister for Information Affairs Sameera Rajab post weekly meeting told reporters that the amendments include adding the necessary definitions to the 2nd Article of the current Statute of the Standardization Organization (GSO) concerning accreditation, conformity and standards, as well as adding Article 16 on the adoption of the Republic of Yemen’s accession to the GCC Standardization organization (GSO).
The Cabinet decided to refer the matter to the Ministerial Committee for Legal Affairs for further study.
