MANAMA: The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zain Telecom Company Bahrain, Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali Al Khalifa briefed the Minister of State for Telecommunications Affairs Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa on the company’s recent initial public offering (IPO).
Zain Bahrain’s CEO Mohammed Zainalabdeen was also present during the meeting.
Welcoming the Board Chairman, the Minister commended him and the company employees for their efforts which resulted in the company’s continuous successes and accomplishments which reflect the outstanding role and advancement of the Kingdom’s telecommunications sector to keep up with the fast flow of modern technologies, expand fourth generation network and extend fiber optic network in Bahrain zone, stressing the positive outcome of the IPO on the national economic and investment sector.
The Minister emphasized the Government’s constant keenness on supporting all companies and establishments operating in various fields to boost the Kingdom’s good reputation and prestigious regional and international position, wishing Zain board of director’s chairman and all of its employee’s further progression and successes.
The Company’s Chairman briefed the Minister about the company’s major accomplishments and future plans, expressing his gratitude and appreciation to the Minister for his keenness and care of the Kingdom’s telecommunications sector.
