The minister of Industry and Commerce, Dr Hassan Abdullah Fakhro held talks with Chairman of the Sri Lankan Imperial Teas Company, Jayantha Karunaratne, in the presence of Shura Member and Chairman of Al Maskati Group, Khalid Al Maskati.
The Minister highlighted efforts of the wise government to reinforce economic ties with Sri Lanka by increasing investments and projects to reflect the rich ties between the two countries.
The guests expressed appreciation to the wise leadership and government for all their efforts to facilitate investments and attract foreign capitals.
It is worth mentioning that Imperial Teas that was formed in 1994 is one of the major tea exporters in Sri Lanka with a huge distribution network of more than 60 countries, while it owns the newest 310.000 square meters tea production complex.
