Awali: Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, the events of Al Basta 3 Market opened last Friday and Saturday at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) amid huge popular attendance as the market witnessed the presence of various categories of Bahraini citizens and residents.
More than 75 vendors from individuals and productive families as well as small and medium enterprises have participated in the activities of the market.
Al Basta 3 Market is the largest shopping festival, held in Bahrain and organized by the Southern Governorate with support from Tamkeen and a number of local and international partners, namely the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD), the Southern Governorate, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Bahrain Noor Al-Ein Festival, Bahrain National Gas Company (BANAGAS), the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) and Zajil Press.
Al Basta 3 Market is held every Friday and Saturday from 2 to 9 pm until March 28, 2015. The public is invited to attend the activities of Al Basta 3 Market and enjoy the different pavilions and sections and places of family entertainment and recreational facilities like restaurants and shops for the sale of agricultural and consumer products and accessories, as well as a special corner displaying handicrafts, and a special corner for children that includes games and shops.
The Southern Governor, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Rashid Al Khalifa praised the support and patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports of the events of Basta 3 Market, noting that his patronage of the event for the second year in a row proves his keenness to achieve the market goals, such as empowering Bahraini youth in every field and supporting owners of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to market their varied products.
In its new edition, Al Basta 3 Market includes many new and innovative events and activities. The market includes a corner for agricultural products and another for shops selling sweets, accessories and garment, a special corner for productive families, a large theater where weekly performances and events are held and a special corner for entertainment and recreational services for families and children, as well as other new sections which have been added this year such as an aquarium and an additional children’s corner (Hzawina), a green industrial oasis, and a Hajj camera corner (pilgrimage Sougha), and a special corner for handicrafts.
