Manama: The Political Societies Affairs office at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments said that Al-Wefaq Islamic Society announced that it held its general assembly on Friday.
The office added that according to Al-Wefaq’s statement, 1,808 members out of the society’s 35,338 adherents, as per the official records, had participated in the general assembly.
The office said that it was expecting Al Wefaq to submit to it a report on its general assembly’s resolutions and procedures within ten days, as required by the law.
“The Ministry will verify the resolutions and the procedures,” the office added.
