MANAMA: Industry and Commerce Minister, Zayed R. Alzayani, held talks with the President of Bahrain Business and Professional Women International Federation and a number of members, who briefed the Minister on the arrangement to host “Women and Entrepreneurs Forum” that will be held in Bahrain from 22-26 of March 2015 under the patronage of HRH Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and the President of Supreme Council for Women.
The Minister noted to the importance role played by Bahraini businesswomen and their active contribution in the national economy. The Minister stressed government’s support for all efforts and Initiatives carried out by the private sector and relevant institutions which contribute to achieve the economic vision that seeks to enhance business environment and attract projects to Bahrain.
“Businesswomen have emerged an important record in the economic reality of the Kingdom; their contributions are significant especially in small and medium enterprises, so the government is keen to enhance this contribution and support it.”
The Minister praised the programs carried out by the Federation and their positive steps to enhance the status of women and their role in the economic sector.
