Riffa Palace: The High Authority for Information and Communication (HAIC) convened at Riffa Palace for a session chaired by His Majesty’s Personal Representative and (HAIC) President His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, in the presence of Information Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi.
HH Shaikh Abdulla congratulated Al-Hammadi on his appointment and welcomed HAIC members, hailing their constant efforts to promote the media work so that it could advocate national causes and keep abreast of Bahrain’s landmark strides.
He stressed the importance of providing all facilities for all mass media in line with HAIC-drive to develop the sector and bolster its crucial role in supporting the national development goals.
He urged more cooperation among between media agencies in order to enhance the information sector and promote Bahrain’s regional and international standing
The Minister, also HAIC Vice President, said that the meeting highlighted the importance of upgrading media, disseminating transparency and pluralism and increasing the contribution of media sector to Bahrain’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). He paid tribute to HH Shaikh Abdulla for his directives, hailing his support for the development of the media sector in Bahrain.
