MANAMA: Strong dusty winds which started at around 8.30pm local time has interrupted the inbound flights operations at the Bahrain International Airport (BIA).
Flights to Bahrain have been suspended temporarily due to unstable weather conditions, an official source at Bahrain International Airport quoted saying by the Bahrain News Agency (BNA). “Departure flights from the airport will proceed as scheduled,” he added.
In a statement, the directorate warned that horizontal visibility will be below 1000 metres, urging people to take necessary precautions. “Violent northerly dusty winds will lash Bahrain tonight and Thursday,” the Meteorological Directorate at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications in a statement, said.
