MANAMA: Bahrain Cinema Company, market leaders in the entertainment industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain, also known as Cineco, has completed $ 5.5 million renovation works at Seef Cineplex. After 17 months of restoration work, Cineco unveiled the newly enhanced and modernised Seef Cineplex.
The extensive renovations that began during the month of June 2014 as part of Cineco’s aggressive refurbishment plans are now complete with Seef Cineplex enfolded in a completely new look with latest amenities and each minute facet revamped to create an improved and fully equipped Cinema.
The enhanced Seef Cineplex now features upgraded seating provisions offering additional legroom for the convenience of moviegoers, new screens and digital projectors of superior kind for best audio and video quality providing movie goers an enhancedviewing experience. Additional refreshingly renovated features include innovative wall décor, new carpeting and flooring, enhanced ceiling and lighting, a new opened up lobby to facilitate the flow of traffic and also renovated restrooms.

This full remodel will enable us to serve audiences better with nothing but quality entertainment through improved comfort and technology,” he added.
Since assuming renovation operations at the venue in June 2014, Seef Cineplex has undergone major renovations without being completely closed to avoid any inconvenience. The remodeling took place with 2 or 3 screens being closed at a time and the rest of the theatres open for moviegoers. Seef Cineplex will display an array of highly anticipated films in various languages including Arabic, English, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil.
The total renovation of Seef Cineplex marks a new chapter in the history of the film house (Cineco), as a key component of this project acknowledges the concept of going to the cinema as a part of togetherness and spending time with family, as a large number of movie lovers avoid going to the cinemas because of lack of privacy, busy and overcrowded spots and prefer quieter and peaceful locations. Keeping in mind the increased importance given to cinema in the country, Cineco took it as priority to create a place where cinema finds it’s most perfect manifestation and hence revamped Seef Cineplex to create a state of the art gallery where the art of cinema can be seen, interpreted and enjoyed.
Cineco Operations include the management of a large number of cinemas and restaurants within Bahrain and the G.C.C countries.
At present, Cineco operates a total of 75 screens in Bahrain and Qatar, and an additional 23 screens are due to be opened before the year end, bringing the total number to 98 screens.
