Manama: The Lego Shows and Cartoon Network Live, a world-class entertainment shows, being held in Bahrain will stir local and regional tourism during the week-long Eid Al Adha holidays especially from neighbouring Saudi Arabia.

“We have brought these shows as part of a strategy of providing entertainment during the Eid holidays as families can have quality activities,” Yousef Al Khan, Director of Marketing and Tourism Promotion at BTEA, on the sidelines of the opening of the Cartoon Network Live, which made debut in Bahrain, told The24X7News Bahrain (www.twentyfoursevennews.com).

“The 20 tonnes of cargo and over 10 million bricks make The Lego Shows a unique attraction for the tourists and hope that one and half week of activity not only stir local tourism but also from Saudi Arabia and other brotherly GCC states,” Mr. Al Khan said, adding that Cartoon Network Live, which has made debut in Bahrain, would also be the main attraction as the Live Cartoon provides extensive performance of about 80 minutes.

▪ The international Tour of Cartoon Network Live! is produced and managed by Live Nation.
▪ The production features the much-loved characters from Cartoon Network original series: Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls, Gumball and Darwin from The Amazing World of Gumball and Finn, Jake and Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time.
▪ The production brings 2 new characters on stage: Kelvin and Zarr.
▪ The show contains 8 scenes, 2 Acts.
▪ 10 Actors are performing in the show
▪ The tour staff and crew of Cartoon Network Live! consist of at least 10 people.
▪ We have 8 different nationalities on tour
▪ The show travels with 4 high cube (40ft) containers.
▪ The set has been designed and produced in Europe. The set pieces have been developed to make them suitable for the tour logistics since we are playing in different venues. Many spectacular props will feature in the show.
▪ There are 35 costumes in the show, all developed and handmade in the U.K. where a team of 12 tailors and puppet makers have been working on for more than a month.
▪ For the transport of the costumes and props, at least 20 flight cases are needed.
▪ Some costumes weight more than 7 kg and each costume have a little computer fan hidden in it to give the performers some ventilation. Otherwise, they might rend to faint during the performance as the costumes can get really hot.
▪ Actors change costumes 8 times per show. Some changes even need to happen within a minute.
▪ The show has various special effects such haze (smoke), streamers and special light effects.
▪ It takes at least 8 hours for the touring crew to build the show after arriving in the venue.

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) announced the launch of Lego Shows which are being held between the 22nd and 31st of August 2018 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC).
