MANAMA: The Kingdom of Bahrain being a pioneer in eGovernment, is transforming rapidly into a knowledge economy, thanks to the vision of the leadership which has been a driving behind the tremendous strides witnessed by the Kingdom in eGovernment arena.
This was stated by His Highness Shaikh Hisham bin Abdul Rahman Al Khalifa, Governor Capital Governorate on the sidelines of the opening of the ninth edition of Bahrain International eGovernment Forum and IT Expo 2018 on Sunday at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
“Bahrain being the pioneer in the eGovernment services and the Vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and 1st Deputy Prime Minister to include this segment as one of the core pillars of the national strategy have helped in yielding positive results as almost all Government services are now available online,” HH Shaikh Hisham said, adding that the online services are secure, efficient, time saving and reliable and all segments of the public and private sector are switching to online services, paving the way for transformation to a Knowledge economy.
