MANAMA: His Royal Highness, Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, has ordered a high level probe into the incident of a two-storey building collapse which left over two dozen injured some of them seriously.
His Royal Highness ordered to set-up a ministerial panel involving all concerned ministries to prepare an urgent report by looking into the all aspects of the accident and why such major incident could have not been averted by taking precautionary steps.
The investigators are looking into to all aspects including the condition of building, reasons of the cylinder blast in the residential building. The investigation is also covering the leads related to any possibility of a criminal aspect of the accident.
HRH also ordered the Ministry of Health to provide best possible treatment to the injured.
The Ministry of Labour will look into the safety of the labourers and if the building was dangerous according to the guidelines of the Municipality and Housing Ministry then how this premises was still rented out to labourers.
