Manama: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: The Kingdom of Bahrain has emerged as a model country in the region, thanks to the visionary leadership of the Kingdom.
Brian H Hook, Special Representative for Iran and Senior Advisor to the US Secretary of State, told a Press conference in Bahrain on Tuesday that Bahrain’s development and its commitment investing heavily in its people speaks volume of the forward-looking approach of the leadership.
While the people of Iran have had denied their rights and development by their own regimes those believe in fanning terrorism and destruction in neighbouring countries by supporting the arms militia through proxy wars and supply of arms and ammunition to terrorist outfits across the region.
“The tyrannical policies of Irani regime has detrimental effects on its own people and sanctions brought misery to Iranian folks due to the wrong policies of their own government. Being a Special Envoy to Iran I have had an opportunity to meeting broad spectrum of Iranian community living abroad and they are well educated and smart people but back in Iran people are denied their basic rights and freedom,” Brian, added.
Talking about US-Bahrain ties, Brian said the US would remain committed to the security and stability of Bahrain as part of its obligation which based on the strong pillars of the bilateral ties.
Brain said that during meeting with His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and the First Deputy Prime Minister, the issues related to security, peace and stability were discussed.
“HRH Prince Salman is a strong and bold leader and the US will continue to explore all possible avenues to strengthen the already excellent ties in all areas of common interest. Both countries share and value the importance and security, peace and development in the region and the US through its Fifth Fleet and robust diplomacy would confront any possible aggression from Iranian regime,” Brian said.
“President Trump and US, Secretary of State attach great importance to the excellent ties with the Kingdom of Bahrain. The core of ties with Bahrain based on trust and the US leadership will continue its pressure on the oppressive regime of Iran. The US is keen to see a peaceful and well-behaved Iran as a country for its neighbours which ultimate will bring peace, stability and prosperity in the region,” he explained.
