HRH Prime Minister is a model for peace, reconciliation: UNESCO

Manama: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has received more congratulatory cables from senior officials and ambassadors following the approval of the Preparatory Group of the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) to celebrate the International Day of Conscience, launched by HRH Premier, at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris and regional offices.

In their cables, they lauded HRH Premier’s efforts and role in strengthening the pillars of peace and stability, as well as his keenness to consolidate solidarity and understanding among countries of the world.

They extended sincere congratulations to HRH the Prime Minister for the UNESCO honour, stressing that his constant support for global peace have strengthened the kingdom’s international standing, and praying to Allah the Almighty to bless him with abundant health and wellness so as to bring about more landmark achievements to the kingdom in various fields.

Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, Education Minister, said that UNESCO’s celebration of HRH Premier’s initiative is a living proof of the prestigious position he enjoys at global gatherings in appreciation of his achievements in the field of sustainable development.

Youth and Sports Affairs Minister, Ayman bin Tawfiq Al-Moayyad, stressed that the UNESCO decision adds to HRH Premier’s rich record of achievements, and reflects the UN’s appreciation of his efforts to promote the global conscience initiatives.

President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, said that BACA will include HRH Premier’s initiative in its annual activities.

She asserted that the UNESCO’s decision reflects the International Community’s respect for HRH premier’s initiatives, expressing pride in the Prime Minister’s tremendous efforts to develop Bahrain and place it among the map of successful countries.

National Security Agency President, Lieutenant-General Adel bin Khalifa Al-Fadhel, indicated that the UNESCO’S celebration of HRH Premier’s initiative is a new achievement that affirms the Prime Minister’s well-established approach in supporting peace and humane values, as well as backing of efforts aimed at consolidating human rights for all peoples in accordance with the principles of justice and equality.

Interior Ministry’s undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, said that the UNESCO honour confirms the Prime Minister’s clear role in enhancing humanitarian work and strengthening rapprochement among various peoples.

He added that HRH Premier’s initiatives to renounce violence and extremism, promote the culture of dialogue and pave the way for exchange of views and peaceful coexistence have always been widely appreciated, noting that the UNESCO move reflects the global appreciation of the Prime Minister.

Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim bin Hamad Al Khalifa said the UNESCO’s decision to celebrate the International Day of Conscience, launched by HRH Premier, is a global recognition of his role in creating new concepts that serve peace and security issues at the international level.

Bahrain’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Jamal Fares Al-Ruwaie, affirmed that the UNESCO’s decision to mark the International Day of Conscience is a new token of appreciation to the Prime Minister for his numerous initiatives to support global peace, security and stability.

Al-Ruwaie asserted that the UNESCO honouring crowns HRH Premier’s endeavours to consolidate peace and tolerance among countries and peoples, as well as strengthen international solidarity and cooperation to create a conflict-free world in which everyone enjoys prosperity and peace, praying to Allah the Almighty to guide the Prime Minister on the right path so as to carry on the development march in the kingdom.
