Manama: Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism has chaired the meeting of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) which was held remotely, via videoconferencing.
The Minister, who also BTEA Chairman, extended deepest thanks to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for his directives to mitigate the COVID-19 impact on this vital sector.
He commended the proactive role of the Government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to combat the pandemic since the first quarter of 2020.
He stressed the importance of revitalizing the tourism sector, praising the Government’s support to the national economy.
The virtual session also focused on the BTEA projects which will contribute to consolidating Bahrain’s tourism standing. Other issues on the meeting agenda were also discussed.
