NBB supports General Directorate of Traffic’s campaign ‘In a Moment’

Manama: The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has extended its support to the 2021 ‘In a Moment’ Traffic Week Campaign organised by the General Directorate of Traffic and kicked off March 7th for two weeks.

‘In a Moment’ aims to emphasize and remind members of the Bahraini community the importance of abiding to traffic regulations and laws to ensure public safety and security. The campaign will focus on providing road users with tips to reduce traffic-related incidents and spread awareness through social networking sites, media channels and outdoor billboards.

Through its collaboration with the General Directorate of Traffic and as part of its national leading role within the Kingdom, NBB aims to increase community awareness surrounding traffic rules and regulations. The bank is also keen to promote community partnership in various aspects of the Kingdom’s initiatives, targeted at all members of society.

“We are very proud to be supporting the launch of this year’s Traffic Week campaign, organised by the Traffic Directorate, as a reflection of NBB’s continuous support towards the various national initiatives and campaigns across the Kingdom. Through this sponsorship, we look forward to supporting the General Directorate of Traffic’s goals and encouraging the public to follow existing traffic laws and regulations via providing traffic tips, driving advice and current statistics on social networking platforms and media channels. We are committed to putting forth our best efforts to actively participate and contribute towards the development of our society, alongside Bahrain’s various organizations and government entities,” Abdul Aziz Al Ahmed, Chief Executive of Strategic Accounts at NBB, said.

“The Traffic Week Campaign showcases the efforts of the Traffic Directorate in protecting the community and raising awareness, in an attempt to reduce the number of traffic-related accidents and increase the percentage of safe road-users. Our goal can be achieved through the general public’s commitment towards obeying traffic laws and through the support of the private sector, civil society organisations, and all members of society. To ensure that we reach the maximum number of people on a larger scale, the campaign relies primarily on social networking sites, as they have become highly influential and effective in spreading a message within our society,” Brigadier Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa, Director-General of Traffic, said.

Brigadier Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Abdul Wahhab Al Khalifa appreciated the partnership of NBB for supporting this campaign for its sheer importance as being awareness on traffic procedures to preserve the safety and well-being of all in Bahrain.
