MANAMA: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Sunday emphasised the importance of de-escalation in the Middle East to prevent further crises that threaten regional stability and peace.
HM King stressed the need for a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace plan based on the two-state solution, which ensures security and stability for all. His Majesty underscored Bahrain’s support for all efforts aimed at establishing security, stability, and peace on both regional and international levels.
This came as His Majesty received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and present were His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Personal Representative, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court, and Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy.

He commended the dedicated efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS, President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), that have led to remarkable accomplishments. His Majesty affirmed that Bahrain’s development continues to advance through the dedication and unity of its people.
His Majesty applauded the distinguished achievements by Bahraini athletes at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, commending their impressive performance, skills and competence. He congratulated all the medal winners and wished them continued success in their future endeavors.

His Majesty expressed appreciation for all efforts in youth and sports sectors that elevate the nation’s standing and lead to podium finishes in various international sports.
