Dr Fakhro continues markets visits

The Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr Hassan Abdulla Fakhro on Friday continued follow-up visits to the local markets as part of the efforts to ensure the food supply chain is intact and people are getting the grocery at affordable prices.

The Minister has been making the visits to the markets, commercial complexes, supermarkets, in order to check on the availability of essential supplies to consumers, especially food and supply infrastructure.
Dr. Hassan Abdullah Fakhro visited Carrefour Super Market at the City Centre Bahrain and met Joe Yunis GM of Carrefour and a number of officials in the ministry. Younes briefed the Minister about the availability of sufficient stocks of all kinds required of food and consumer goods, especially those that increase demand in the month of Ramadan, stressing the continuation of special promotions offered by the markets, Carrefour and include most supplies of goods especially during the month of Ramadan, as stressed by increasing the number of shoppers from within Bahrain and abroad, particularly from the GCC countries, noting that the number of shoppers topped 8,000 shoppers a day.
