The Interior Ministry warned the general public to avoid gathering at road accidents sites to enable the security and concerned departments to take the necessary measures.
A number of road accidents have taken place in various parts of the Kingdom since the morning on Friday and necessary procedures have been taken by concerned authorities.
A road accident happened in A’ali close to A’ali Mosque between a car and a truck which resulted in the death of a citizen while another sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Two people were also injured in another accident on Al Fateh highway near the Gulf Hotel.
A road accident, involving two cars, also occurred on King Faisal highway at the Regency Hotel intersection. Two people sustained minor injuries and traffic flow was disrupted on the highway which required the intervention of security and traffic personnel to ease traffic congestions.
Police patrols also diverted vehicles from Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman highway to Shaikh Isa bin Salman, toward the East, to ease the traffic bottlenecks caused by the accident.
