Chairman of the Shura Council’s Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee Dr. Salah Ali has asserted that the kingdom will, with the implementation of the National Consensus Dialogue Vision, embark on a new phase of landmark reforms, launched a decade ago through His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s pioneering national comprehensive reform project.
He also said that the Parliament will assume the highly national responsibility of approving the recommendations of the National Dialogue during the second session of the Third Legislative term, to be inaugurated tomorrow Sunday, which, he affirmed, will consolidate the kingdom’s democratic achievements and ensure better living standards for the citizens.
Dr. Salah also noted that the next period requires all citizens to join ranks in order to take part in the nation-building march, restore national cohesion and harmony between all segment of the Bahraini society so as to ensure that the kingdom remains, as it has always been, an oasis of security and stability for all its citizens and visitors, which, he stressed, can be achieved only through the joint efforts of its loyal citizens from both sects.
He also called for the need to foil the attempts of those who want to sow sectarian divide in the kingdom, urging Bahraini families to protect its children from extremists and promote patriotic feelings among them.
“Bahrain is precious to all of us, and we should maintain its reputation as a model of democracy, peaceful co-existence, tolerance and love,” he said.
Dr. Salah also pointed out that the kingdom is blessed with a globally-praised wise leadership and political system, asserting that prosperity, security and stability enjoyed by the Bahraini people thanks to the wisdom of its leadership have been praised by foreign parliamentary delegations.
He also called on Bahraini citizens to support the wise leadership in order to ensure a better future for Bahrain, affirming that the Ruling Family is the guarantor of the kingdom’s progress and prosperity.
He praised the landmark achievements accomplished during HM King Hamad’s prosperous era, the economic strides realized thanks to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s statesmanship and farsightedness and the landmark initiatives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, who laid the foundation for a free and competitive economy thanks to his enlightened vision.
