Tasked by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa Deputy Premier participated in the international telecommunications conference (Telecom 2011) organized in Geneva by the International Telecommunications Union.
The conference is considered one of the most important functions with respect to telecommunications and information technology sector at the international level in which international firms compete in showcasing their latest developments particularly in terms of cost-effective telecommunications devices for remote areas. The event is scheduled to be attended by leading industrialists, presidents, premiers, policy-makers and international IT experts. The conference discusses the role of technology and telecommunications in realizing economic development and stimulating investment and sustainable growth.
