Minister of Interior, who received number of personalities who at his weekly majlis which is open for public in order to constantly communicate with all the various segments of the community, said highlighted the importance of respecting Bahrain’s ties with other countries.
“We are keen to found our relations on the basis of mutual respect and interest, because the time for foreign occupation and protectorates has long passed.”
The Minister thanked his guests for revisiting his weekly Majlises and praised the tradition of Bahraini family majlises in view of their significant role in our daily lives. Asserting that such majlises help restore the very social fabric in our community, and described them as democratic gatherings where voices could be heard.
The Minister added that people have the right to discuss their own internal affairs, hear opinions from each other, and respect opinions in order to serve the best interest of the public.
The Minister praised citizens and residents who have been very supportive to the security personnel on duty. He underlined that we shall overcome false accusations and rumors and we will learn lessons from the unfortunate events, because these events strengthened us and helped us become more determined to work as a united team in serving our beloved country.
