The group started with Brussels, the informal capital of the European Union, to understand the importance of the European Union and had a few introductionsat the Committee of Regions and European Parliament.
The group then spent three days in Dijon, Burgundy, hosted by the Burgundy Business School (Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Dijon), a first tier French Business school. During their visit in Dijon, they had a Q&A session with students from the International Bachelor Program at Burgundy Business School, visited the Regional Council of Burgundy and met with the Vice-President and the President and had briefings about Marketing of Luxury Goods. The group also visited the factory of AMCOR, a major Australian packaging company.
In Paris, they visited Dauphine University, an elite business university where they heard a presentation about graduate studies in the US and France. The group also had a briefing about commodities market, organized by Institut Supérieur de Gestion (ISG), a Parisian business school at NYSE EURONEXT where the students participated in the closing bell ceremony. They also did a lot of cultural activities like visiting UNESCO Heritage site, The 1447 Hospices de Beaune, toured the city of Dijon and Paris, visited the Louvre museum, the castle of Versailles and enjoyed a full day at Disneyland Paris and experienced French dining and Belgian chocolates.
