Two people allegedly involved in selling hashish have been arrested in Sitra.
“Police caught the suspected drug dealers following a tip-off”, General Directorate of Criminal Investigation Directorate of Forensic Science director general said. Two officers and an anti-drug squad policeman suffered minor injuries as the suspects’ resisted arrest, deliberately smashing their car into the patrol vehicle.
Saboteurs attacked the anti-drug police squad, hurling Molotov cocktails on patrols whilst on duty. The assault prompted security forces to intervene and deal with the situation in conformity with the law.
The two alleged drug dealers will appear before the Public Prosecutor to face legal charges.
