Human Rights and Social Development Minister Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al Blushi chaired a meeting with the undersecretaries of the ministries in charge of the “One Unity” campaign to boost national reconciliation.
She stressed that national initiatives to achieve reconciliation among all social segments are not exclusive to particular individuals or parties but every person is included and has to take part in the national campaigns aimed to stoke positive feelings and promote values of co-existence and national unity.
She lauded directives to carry out programmes under the umbrella of the “One Unity” drive to mend the rift and strengthen social fabric.
She also tasked the campaign’s executive management to coordinate with ministries and government bodies to plan social activities tailored for government employees to ensure large-scale participation in the campaign.
Dr. Al Blushi voiced hope in the success of the second phase of the campaign held under the theme “We Possess Goodness” after students’ positive response to its functions.
An agreement has been made during the meeting to conduct a public opinion poll to assess popularity of the “One Unity” projects.
