President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa presented Bahrain’s proposal at the GCC Olympic Heads Committee that included assigning the executive office of the committee to conduct a general study.
This study is to include the placing of mechanisms to activate sports cooperation between GCC member states towards its transformation into the union phase. Within this context Heads of GCC member states Olympic Committees welcomed this proposal and during the meeting held at the conferences palace in Jeddah various points point were discussed. Some of these points included the report submitted by the General Secretariat on the organizing of the 2nd Beach Sports Games by Saudi Arabia to be held in November, and the amending of the by-laws of Sport Games and Beach Games along with supporting Qatar’s hosting of the Olympic Games 2020.
