“This is a great setting to introduce financial investigative techniques.”
Areas of emphasis will also include money laundering, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, asset misappropriation and general corruption and financial statement fraud.
WVU is a leader in forensic applications and education in accounting and fraud investigation, consulting with the White House, The Internal Revenue Service and the Royal Canadian mounted police.
“The initiative is part of the strategic partnership between Royal University for Women and West Virginia University. Employees of banks, insurance companies, auditing firms, government institutions and other businesses are expected to attend the training is a three-day course,” RUW in a statement said.
