Two memorandums of understanding were signed, on the sidelines of the banquet, between Bahrain and India.
Transportation Minister and Acting Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board Kamal Ahmed bin Mohammed signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indian State Minister for Finance Namo Narayan on taxation information.
The second memo on bilateral cooperation in the Information Technology (IT) field was concluded by Bahraini Ambassador to India Mohammed Ghassan Shikhou and Indian Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Middle East Affairs Sanjay Singh.
On the other hand, a series of meetings were held yesterday between the private sectors of both countries.
Earlier before the meetings, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Dr. Essam Fakhro had signed an agreement with the Deputy Chief Executive of the Confederation of Indian Industry.
During a meeting with the Indian Vice-President Mohammed Hassan Ansari, HRH Crown Prince called for the need to consolidate Bahraini-Indian cooperation in all fields in order to achieve the aspired results.
He also affirmed that the kingdom will overcome the repercussions of the recent incidents thanks to the sound policies of its wise leadership and patriotism and solidarity of its citizens.
He also appreciated the dedication of the Indian community in Bahrain, which, he said, reflected the distinguished features of India’s culture and civilization.
The Indian Vice-President expressed confidence that Bahrain would succeed in overcoming the effects of the recent events thanks to the wisdom of its leadership, reiterating his country’s full support for Bahrain’s security, stability and progress.
HRH Crown Prince also attended a dinner banquet hosted by the Indian Vice-President in his honour.
It is worth noting that a number of economic memoranda of understanding and agreements were signed between Bahrain and India on the sidelines of HRH Crown Prince’s two-day visit to India.
