The Kingdom of Bahrain’s Astronomy Society deputy chairman and professor of applied physics Dr. Waheeb Isa Al-Nasser, Ph.D. in an exclusive interview told Bahrain TV that special teams in Sakhir, Tubli, Isa Town, Hamad Town and Adliya watched Planet Venus from the moment of sunrise at 04:45 am until 07:38 am on Wednesday.
Dr. Al-Nasser explained that the next anticipated passage of Planet Venus will be on 11 December 2117 followed by another passage after 8 years on 8 December 2125 as its passage occurs once after an interval of 120.5 years.
Dr. Al-Nasser thanked the Kingdom of Bahrain’s TV for its live broadcast from University of Bahrain’s observatory telescope, which Dr. Al-Nasser asserted serves knowledge and local and international community especially as the Planet Venus is obscured by clouds or other obstacles in some places around the globe.
Dr. Al-Nasser explained that the Planet Mercury shall pass before the Sun on 9 May 2016 and would be seen from the Kingdom of Bahrain at noontime.
