UOB Students with Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, President of the University of Bahrain and Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, CEO of the eGovernment Authority
Aiming at facilitating services to different community segments, particularly youths, to utilize the benefits of the eGovernment portal, Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, President of the University of Bahrain and Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive Officer of the eGovernment Authority honored a group of students from the University, following the Authority’s recent announcement of the re-launch of “University of Bahrain Course Payment” eservice, in cooperation with the Admission and Registration Deanship.

The eGovernment Authority previously announced an initiative to reimburse 15 UOB students for their 2012 academic year’s study, for paying their courses fees electronically through the eGovernment portal.

The draw winners list includes Fatima Abdullah Al-Shakhuri, A’mal Mohsin Shuwaikh, Mohammed Saqer Al-Atawi, Hatem Abdel-Fattah Mohammed, Haneen Issa Ali, Shayma Nabil Zeidan, Noura Abdullah Ateeq, Abeer Ebrahim Falah, Sarah Mohammed Al-Saai, Mays Reyadh Kadhem, Aisha Ahmed Mohammed Al-Hassan, Al-Sayed Mustafa Saleh Ali Sharaf, Al-Sayed Abdullah Hamad Al-Hamad, Ahmad Abdu Ali AL-Khayat, and Zainab Jassim Sharaf.

“This eservice allows registered UOB students to pay their course fees directly via banks’ ATM cards through the eGovernment portal which facilitates the processes of course registration, add and drop, without the burdens of coming to the campus,” Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, said.

He pointed out that students can also use this service to print their schedules immediately after the payment of the fees, noting that students should have a valid student ID and password.

The president of the University of Bahrain urged all the students to benefit from this eservice offered by the eGovernment Authority, as it provides convenient access and eliminates crowding and waiting in queues unlike the traditional delivery mood. He also expressed his thanks to the eGovernment Authority for this positive initiative that helps in increasing the traffic on the portal and utilizing its features.

Mohammed Ali Al Qaed thanked the students for using the eGovernment portal to pay their course fees, urging them to continue benefiting from all the services offered through the various channels.

During his meeting with the honored students, AlQaed encouraged them to communicate directly with the eGovernment Authority for any suggestions, enquiries, or feedback. He also confirmed that eGA is always opening its door for communication to the different community segments.

The “University of Bahrain Course Payment” eservice is launched every semester during the registration period, in addition the eGovernment portal provides a number of other eservices for the students; mainly, (Endorsement, Accreditation and Validation of Academic Qualifications); (Issuing Copies of Student Certificates); (Application for Eid Al-Elm Ceremony); (Public Libraries Services); (Student Exam Results); (Scholarships Application and Results); (Registration in Summer Clubs) and (Flight Information).
