National Hotels Company was established in 1974 and its shares are listed on the Bahrain Stock Exchange. Major shareholders are Kuwait Investment Authority, Social Insurance Organization and Kuwait Investment Company. The Company owns the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence and Spa, a 367 room Five Star Hotel and Serviced Apartments property operated by the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group under the Radisson Blu brand. African and Eastern (Bahrain) W.L.L. is an associate company of NHC.
The Board of Directors of NHC have a positive outlook about the growth of Bahrain’s economy and having completed the Commercial Towers project, look again at their strategic plans for further expansion. The growth of National Hotels Company within Bahrain’s economy can only be achieved through the development and recruitment of skilled Bahraini nationals. Recently the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence and Spa has been awarded first prize as the leader amongst all hospitality companies in Bahrain with the highest percentage of Bahranization.
