Leading Bahraini and Arab scholars have rallied to advocate wisdom and reason and urge national dialogue to start immediately. Leading Bahraini section have also appealed for the dialogue to proceed without further delay to ensure a better future for all Bahrainis, according to a statement posted by the Bahrain News Agency on its website.

Leading Kuwaiti Shiite Leaders’ Representative Mohammed Baqer Al Mousawi Al Mehri called upon all Bahraini parties to sit at the same table and engage in a constructive dialogue towards achieving people’s hopes and aspirations.

“Constructive multiparty dialogue will pave the way for security and stability in Bahrain”, he said in statement to BNA.
He described Bahrain’s security and stability as inseparable from the regional security and stability as a whole.

Lebanese Supreme Shiite Council deputy chairman Shaikh Abdul Amir Qabalan has appealed to all Bahraini bothers and leaders to avert any bloodshed and ensure the primacy of national interests. He also urged reason and dialogue to achieve all aspirations and ensure the reform momentum. “It is in your interest and the vital interests of your country that Bahrain remains stable, just and prosperous”, he said. Shaikh Qabalan hailed the rational stances voiced by the wise political leadership, paying Allah Almighty to preserve national unity and ensure the success of its leaders and people. He also extended sincere condolences following the loss of lives in the recent regrettable incidents.

Qalali Mosque Imam Shaikh Salah Al Jowder called for dialogue channels to be opened with political, religious, women and youth parties. He stressed the need to include people at the Pearl Roundabout and their leaders. He underlined the importance of reaching out to them directly, stressing that they have no affiliations whatsoever. Shaikh Al Jowder called for a popular committee preceding the start of the multi-part national dialogue. According the proposal tabled by Shaikh Al Jowder, the members of the Pre-Dialogue Committee would be bound by a code of honour and a work plan paving the way for the talks to finally to take place and yield immediate results. “In this way, citizens will feel the tangible change and realize that a comprehensive settlement is imminent and within reach”, he said. He said that the proposed committee would serve as a link between all parties, stressing the need for the panel to be neutral and have no agenda so as to ensure the national dialogue is not hijacked. “The committee has a crucial role to play in defuse the state of polarization and rupture and foster the hope in a quick solution – thus ensuring Bahrain regains its security and stability”, he said.
