The session which was allocated for the Kingdom of Bahrain would witness the official delegation’s speech, followed by the comments of the representatives of member countries in the council and human rights organizations.
The official delegation would meet with a group of ambassadors from the Arab and Foreign friendly countries within the continued meetings with the participating delegations, where the meetings would address Bahrain’s official attitude supportive of the freedom of expression in accordance with law.
The meetings would also discuss Bahrain’s support of expanding the participation of citizens in decision-making, through the outcomes of the late constitutional amendments including increasing the powers of the elected Council of Representatives.
The official delegation would brief the participants of other countries on what Bahrain had achieved in supporting the human rights, particularly commitment to the conventions, and the implementation of the recommendations of Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry, of which the Kingdom of Bahrain declared accepting the contents included in its report.
In the light of the report, the legislative system was developed, as well as the democratic practice to achieve the legitimate public aspirations which reflected the consensus of the components of Bahraini Community in the National Consensus Dialogue that combined a wide range of the various people of Bahrain.
