This came as he received at Riffa Palace the board Chairman of VIVA Bahrain and the Chief Executive Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) Dr. Khalid Al-Ghunaim.
HRH the Crown Prince praised Bahrain’s success in liberating the communication sector and guaranteeing the elements of effective and fair competition between operators, which helped provide better services and create more jobs opportunities.
HRH Crown Prince also affirmed Bahrain’s keen interest to preserving transparent regulatory environment between operators, stressing the importance of adopting policies that support advanced techniques and provide integrated services for individuals and institutions.
Dr. Al-Ghunaim hailed the regulatory framework of the communication sector in Bahrain, adding that it is one of the most developed modals in the region.
He also briefed HRH the Crown Prince on STC group’s plans and programmes.
Advisor for Political and Economic Affairs at HRH Crown Prince’s Court Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa and Head of HRH Crown Prince’s Court Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa were also present.
