Shaikh Fawaz welcomed the media delegation, stressing that the doors of Kingdom and officials will always remain open for anyone wishing to give the full and real image of Bahrain.
He stressed that commitment of mass media all over the world to objectivity and impartiality in covering events earns them high status among the public and readers.
He added that the media march in Bahrain has witnessed a remarkable progress thanks to the unlimited support of the leadership to boosting freedom of expression and professional competence.
“This is a real reflection of the reform project which brought about a quantum change in the history of Bahrain, mainly in the media and press field,” he said.
He praised the key role played by Bahrain’s mass media in promoting the culture of democracy as well as co-existence, cohesion and unity among the Bahraini people.
“Bahrain has adopted an integrated media strategy that takes into account progress in contemporary media,” he affirmed.
He also answered questions about local, regional and international media issues as well as the latest global developments.
The delegation listened to a detailed account on Bahrain’s achievements at all levels and toured the museum to get informed about its history, content and the civilisations that have pervaded Bahrain since the antiquity.
