Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa urged the Bahraini youth to excel in all fields, and benefit from the basics of debates they have learned through the Universities Debate Programme, organized by the General Organization for Youth and Sports
Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, urged the Bahraini youth to excel in all fields, and benefit from the basics of debates they have learned through the Universities Debate Programme, organized by the General Organization for Youth and Sports.

This came during Shaikh Nasser’s surprise visit to the closing ceremony of the University Debate Programem, which had a good impact on the participants and was an opportunity to meet young people wherever they are.

Shaikh Nasser directed the participants while commenting on a topic that has been raised in the final debate on (Commercials have more harm than good), saying: After listening to pro views and the other opinion, we must listen to the neutral voice; Because of these ads I lost a brother, and because of local advertising such as (Proud to be Bahraini), which provided advanced youth projects that acknowledged everyone on the ideas and youth projects, was the main reason for the launch of the project (Start).

Shaikh Nasser said his message for the youth and academic bodies that; “Agreeing or disagreeing does not spoil the intimacy, we need to integrate academic and educational bodies in life and get to know the requirements of young talents and developing their abilities.”

On this occasion President of the General Organization for Youth and Sports Hisham Mohammed Al Jowder praised the initiative of Shaikh Nasser and for supporting the participants in the programme, which underlines his keenness to encourage the Bahraini youth and prepare them to reach higher levels in different sectors.
Al Jowder said Shaikh Nasser understands the visions of the youth and their aspirations for the future and their sincere desire to serve their nation.
He noted that the levels of the participating youth, either through the programe, or at the workshops either organized earlier this month to prepare them for the main event.

Al Jowder expressed thanks and appreciation to all who contributed to the success of the event, which was organised for the first time as part of the Youth Affairs management programs.
Al Jowder also congratulated the winning teams in the programme and wished everyone success in the future.

“We are honored today for the visit of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which left a special impact on all the participants in the programme,” Director of Youth Affairs at the General Organization for Youth and Sports, Iman Janahi said.

“We find ourselves together today for the sake of seeing the discovery of a group of young innovative Bahrainis in the field of debates, and who were the reason of granting this programme for the universities, organized for the first time while getting huge response among universities in Bahrain,” she said.

The closing ceremony also featured a video footage that contained excerpts from the programme and workshops that preceded the start of the debates. The winning teams were then honored along with the judging committee, as well as the participating universities.
