HRH Premier stressed that the government was keen to respect their labour rights as well as safety and security.
These views were expressed by HRH Premier during the meeting with the Ambassadors of the Philippines, Bangladesh, and India and Charge d’Affaires of Thailand and Pakistan who expressed their countries’ full support for all the measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its security and stability.
“Bahraini people have always been known for their kindness and hospitality, asserting that some of the incidents reported recently is alien to genuine Bahraini values,” said HRH Premier.
“Every Bahraini regrets the acts committed against some expats in the Kingdom,” he told envoys, adding that “the government does not accept that any members of foreign communities is harmed as they have come to contribute to the country’s building and development marches.”
“Harming innocent civilians contradicts our authentic national and Arab moral values and religious teachings because Bahrain is a state of law and institutions per excellence,” HRH Premier said.
In this context, HRH Prince Khalifa instructed the Foreign Affairs Ministry to open up communication channels with foreign embassies accredited in the kingdom and cooperate with them in order to ensure the safety of their citizens.
HRH Premier also reviewed with the envoys the outstanding ties bonding Bahrain and their countries, expressing the kingdom’s keen interest to bolster bilateral cooperation with them.
