A number of leading regional and international Business figures and entrepreneurs have confirmed their participation at the first Tamkeen Conference and Exhibition, which set to be held at the Gulf Hotel on the 7th and 8th of January 2013. The event is part of Tamkeen’s continuous efforts to support private sector enterprises and develop the skills of Bahrainis to make them the employees of choice.
Dr. Saad Al Barrak, ILA Group Chairman, and Rama Chakaki, co-founder and CEO of Dubai-based Baraka Ventures, will be the keynote speakers at the inaugural day. Utilising their extensive entrepreneurship and leadership experience, they will discuss the importance of entrepreneurship and the challenges that most start-ups face. They will also explain how empowering the private sector helps advance economic development and achieve prosperity.
A group of other prominent experts will also lead a series of interactive workshops focusing on a number of vital topics of interest for entrepreneurs and business owners.
The Tamkeen Expo is an integrated event aimed at providing a platform for entrepreneurs in particular and the private sector in general to exchange knowledge and expertise, and for the general public to learn about Tamkeen’s various support programmes and how to benefit from them.
In addition to the conference and the workshops, an exhibition will be organised to show visitors how Tamkeen played a positive role in stimulating the growth of the private sector. Around 80 entrepreneurs who benefited from Tamkeen programmes as well as partners and certified service providers are expected to participate in the exhibition.
The activities of the “Tamkeen Conference and Exhibition 2013” are free of charge, but those who sign up first will have priority.
