Budoor Al Ansari, owner of Pankooshi’s, Bahrain’s first weight loss and detox resort spoke about the small changes that women can make to make their lives healthier as she launched Pankooshi’s New Year, New You package. She spoke in detail about the advantages of of ‘juicing’ diets, as well as the benefits of eating organic food. Al Ansari also spoke about how she overcame her personal battle with weight loss.
“My university years, career and family life all took their tolls and before I knew it I had gained 35 kilograms, which I found impossible to shed no matter what I tried,” she said.
“After almost four years of researching and trying out different things, I came across ‘juice fasting’ and I managed to achieve in three weeks what I had been struggling to do for four years!
”A lot of people make the mistaking of thinking juice fasting doesn’t give you the right nutrients. But on the contrary, under supervision and insuring the juices are balanced in terms of vegetables and fruits, and high quality ingredients such as spinach, beetroot, carrots and more, you’d be surprised what your body actually needs.”
Attendees were treated to a juice tasting as well as a preview of the new package, which includes a stay at Pankooshi’s resort at Durrat Al Bahrain, packed with a full programme of activities.
