Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), one of the major contributors to the national economy of the Kingdom, is treading on a right path of improvement and enhancement of its operations in order to satisfy its obligation towards the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In 2010, Bapco introduced a major initiative that enables the continuous identification and closure of the performance gaps inside the company. The new system is called Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) and it aims at elevating the performance of the company to the World Class level. Operational Excellence is primarily about governance, which means ensuring that we are doing the right thing, the right way, all the time. As part of the implementation of the OEMS, Bapco is hosting an Operational Excellence Focused Review by Chevron during the period 30 January to 7 February. The purpose of this Focus Review is to gain advantage of Chevron’s experience in this field in reviewing the implementation of certain elements of the OEMS so that Bapco can accelerate its drive to Operational Excellence.
