HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa, who held talks with his brother the Saudi Crown Prince Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud at his office in Riyadh, reiterated importance of moving to GCC Union from a Council status.
During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral distinctive relations bonding the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen and develop them in all areas.
Their Royal Highnesses stressed the desire of the two countries to reinforce the bilateral cooperation between them in a way to positively reflect its good effects on the GCC system.
Their Royal Highnesses renewed their support for the Saudi Monarch’s initiative the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud to move from the cooperation stage to the Gulf Union and activate it for its positive results on the security and stability of the region, in addition to increasing the political, economic and security gains.
Their Royal Highnesses called on preserving the security and stability of the Gulf region, where every country complements one another, highlighting that there is no way rather than increasing cooperation and communication between them.
Their Royal Highnesses reinforced that the global conditions require them to unite their views concerning the different issues for the interests of the countries of the region and their peoples.
HRH the Prime Minister expressed great appreciation for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, either leadership or people in his heart for their supporting stances to Kingdom of Bahrain in all various conditions, pointing out that the Bahraini-Saudi relations witness prosperity and growth because of the keenness of the leadership of the two countries.
HRH the Premier also lauded the pioneering role of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its political and economic strength on the regional, Arab and international levels due to its honorable stances in supporting the Arab and Muslim issues.
The Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, HRH Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud reiterated Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s support for Kingdom of Bahrain in preserving its security, stability and sovereignty on its grounds, stressing that such attitude is solid and firm in the Saudi policy.
HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa has returned safely back to the Kingdom this evening coming from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, after holding talks with the Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense HRH Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, and a number of Saudi senior officials.
