A special committee was set up on February 23, 2011 to follow up on human rights violations in Bahrain in light of the recent unfortunate events the Kingdom has witnessed, the National Human Rights Organization announced.
The independent committee will investigate violations of human rights before a professional report is forwarded to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa as per the royal order 46 for 2009, it was revealed.
The National Human Rights Organization said documented data are being gathered and analysed carefully in connection with the recent incidents in Bahrain in preparation for a detailed report that will be submitted to HM the King in this regard.
