His Royal Highness conveyed the congratulations of His Majesty King Hamad and His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa, the Prime Minister, to His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and to Her Majesty Queen Maxima, and wished the country continuing success and prosperity.
His Royal Highness expressed his pleasure in attending the ceremony and emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to supporting relations and cooperation with the Netherlands.
The ceremony also included Her Majesty Queen Beatrix’s signing of the act confirming her abdication and the investiture of His Majesty. His Majesty King Willem-Alexander later appeared on the balcony of the palace with his wife and three daughters alongside his mother, Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix. The official ceremony was also attended by representatives of royal families around the world, presidents, and leading international figures.
